- The top earning class in each grade will earn control of THREE Phys Ed classES
- The top 2 earning students in each grade will throw a pie in Mr. Keane and Officer Barry's face in front of their grade.
The American Heart Challenge is a program sponsored by the American Heart Association. It promotes physical activity, heart healthy living, and community service. The program gives the students the opportunity to help fund lifesaving research and educational programs that help fight heart disease and stroke. It is time for us to step and show what we are made of!
Throughout the American Heart Challenge program, the students will be taking part in their basketball unit in Phys Ed class. They will be participating in different tournaments that will lead up to the school's American Heart Challenge culminating event. In addition, they will be given the opportunity to put together their own Donations Page on the school's homepage. Any dollar amount can go a long way to a great cause! The students will also be given different prizes for their generous donations. I encourage everyone in the Nehaunsey Middle School community to look through the website and take advantage of the valuable resources that are offered on the site.

I have encouraged the students to register online since it is the easiest and safest way to accept donations. Feel Free to check out the American Heart Association Middle School program homepage to help register your child online. The students have been given a paper on how to register themselves online to create their own personal website.
There is also an app that you could download on your phone to send important messages through social media and email (and it's free!).
IMPORTANT NOTE: IF STUDENTS HAVE BEEN RAISING ONLINE THEY WILL NEED TO PRINT OUT A DONATION REPORT IN THE END. THIS DONATION REPORT WILL BE PUT INTO THE HOOPS FOR HEART ENVELOPE THAT THEY WERE GIVEN AND SHOULD BE NOTED IN THE DONATIONS SECTION OF THE ENVELOPE. ANY CASH/CHECKS RAISED SHOULD BE NOTED IN THE DONATIONS SECTION INDIVIDUALLY AND PLACED SAFELY IN THE ENVELOPE.
