GRADE 7 & 8 ELA:

 

The Bayonne School District looks to meet the needs of our diverse learning community and provide the best education possible for our students. In this same regard, the English & Language Arts course I provide is designed to expose students to a variety of texts and resources that are meant to both enrich and challenge their ways of thinking while helping them to establish connections between the fictional and nonfiction stories they experience and their own personal experiences over the course of the school year.
Through reading, writing, reasoning, and listening to/working alongside their peers, students will form a deeper understanding of how literature, poetry, and the lessons and ideas they contain relate to their lives in the everyday and how those lessons and ideas are present both in and outside of the classroom.
