GRADE 7 & 8 ELA:

 

As a part of the Nicholas Oresko School's Gifted and Talented Program, this English & Language Arts course will expose its students to a variety of texts and mediums that will both enrich and challenge their ways of thinking while helping them to establish connections between the individuals found in both fiction and nonfiction works and their experiences over the course of the school year.
Through reading, writing, reasoning, and listening to/working alongside their peers, students will form a deeper understanding of how literature, poetry, and the lessons and ideas they contain relate to their lives in the everyday and how those lessons and ideas are present both in and outside of the classroom.
