Welcome and thanks for visiting my webpage! My name is Victoria Picou and I'm a first grade teacher at K.R. Hanchey. I graduated from DeRidder High School in 2006 and McNeese State University in 2010. The '23-'24 school year will be my 12th year at K.R. Hanchey. KRH is truly my home school and it's where I'm meant to be. I love the people I work with and the children I am blessed to teach each year,.
My husband, Ronnie and I have 5 children. Treasure, Ross, Price, Paisley & Athena. The older three play(ed) sports year-round and it's what our family is all about. Whether Fall, Spring, or Summer- on a ball field is where my family can be found!
I haved looked forward to this school year all summer! I am so glad that your child is in my classroom. I will teach them, nurture them, and love them as they are my own. I absolutely love their big smiles and hugs each day that we are together. I make it a point to meet them at our classroom door each morning and greet them by name. You may find that I will call them "my kids", but that's because they are my kids; not only from August-May, but from August 2023 to the end of time. We are going to have a wonderful school year!
