Parents,

"April showers bring May flowers" is a popular adage that has lasted for decades. For me, I think it meas after hard times and challenges, there are better days ahead.  For students moving on to middle school, there will be challenges, but if they are equipped with  the tools of family support, patience, listening skills, and  a clear focus of success, they will perservere, and do well in middle school. Please stay involved because they need you  more in middle school.

The Fifth Grade Awards  ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at  8:30a.m. in the cafeteria. It is a formal occasion, so boys are asked to wear a suit, or dress pants, shirt, and tie, and girls are asked to wear dresses. Students are also asked to bring  another set of clothes for outdoor activities later (preferably jeans and Clay shirt). Awards will be presented, followed by lunch, and photographs from Strawbridge Photography.  After lunch, parents are invited to  the classroom for special presentations. Students will then change clothes, and head outside to the front lawn for fifth grade activities.

On the last day of school, Wednesday, May 22, 2019, students will take their final walk at 12:10pm. During their final walk, students will begin  at C hall, and proceed down each hall for their last walk as an Elementary student. You are welcome to attend.

Have a great summer!
